The European Union, with Directive 2019/1937, has renewed the legislation concerning the protection of people who report violations of European Union law, in order to create a minimum standard for the protection of whistleblowers’ rights in all Member States. Italy has implemented the European Directive with Legislative Decree No. 24 on 10th March 2023 (hereinafter the “Decree”).

BERTO'S SPA wants to comply with the aforementioned regulatory requirements, as well as with the guidelines provided by ANAC [National Anti-corruption Authority]. Therefore, whistleblowing reports can be made in the following ways:

  • Through the online platform https://bertos.signalethic.it/signalethic/home following the instructions contained in the “Whistleblower’s Manual” available on the home page.
  • By calling the company number 049 9588700 and asking to speak to the manager of the internal channel for whistleblowing reports; it will be the whistleblower’s responsibility to hide their telephone number by dialing #31# before dialing the telephone number of BERTO'S SPA if he/she wishes to make an anonymous report. The whistleblower can also ask for a meeting with the manager of the whistleblowing reports.

The reporting management procedure guarantees the confidentiality of the whistleblower’s identity from the moment of receipt of the report to any subsequent contact. Pursuant to art. 5, paragraph 1, letter. e) of the Decree, the whistleblowing policy adopted by the company provides information on the channels, procedures and conditions for making internal and external reports.
